Mrs. Brubaker, 71, of Box 314, Duncansville RD 1, died at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 1989, at Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness.
Mrs. Brubaker retired as a secretary from Car-Val Furniture Co. in April 1989, after 19 years service.
She was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Duncansville, the daughter of James and Minnie (Browell) Helsel, and Feb. 22, 1942, in Woodbury, married Frank I. Brubaker.
Surviving are her husband , two children: Michael T. of Altoona and Leanna Kephart of Carson Valley; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brubaker was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where she was a member of the Optics Sunday school class and was serving as chairman of the financial board.
She was a 1936 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Tuesday at the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, and 1 to 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
