Kay was a member of Fernanda Maria Chapter of the DAR. She held the positions of Regent and Registrar. In addition, Kay was the immediate past membership liason for District VIII, a past District officer and was currently State Vice-Chairman of Lineage Research.
She was also a member of the Huguenot Society.
