According to a census record, his wife's name is Dorothy Asamovich

Officer Aleksich was murdered by his mentally ill cousin, Ilija Martinovich, who was eventually committed for the remainder of his life to the asylum in Warm Springs, Montana. He died there in 1955. There are many newspaper articles about the murder and the trial.
