Francis Marion Stafford, aged 92, of 537 South Columbia street, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday in Memorial hospital. Mr. Stafford was born in Kosciusko county, Indiana, June 26, 1856, and moved here 23 years ago from Pierceton, Ind. He married Merilla Belle Shirley in Warsaw in Warsaw, Ind., Feb. 23, 1881. She died Sept. 3, 1916. Surviving are two sons, Charles A. Stafford, Santa Ana, Calif., and Ora E. Stafford, Mishawaka; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Holben, Circle, Mont., Mrs. Shirley Stevens, South Bend, and Mrs. Harry Wilkinson, with whom he lived; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Jane Greer, Plymouth, Ind. Friends may call in the Bubb funeral home, Mishawaka, until the funeral services there at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. G. B. rowe, pastor of Greater Midway Gospel tabernacle will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Creek cemetery, near Pierceton, Ind.
