Chester Stafford, aged 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Stafford, 453 E. 10th street, died in St. Joseph hospital at 10:45 this morning. Death resulted from peritonitis which developed following an an appendix operation June 30.

The boy was born in Union, Mont., June 5, 1917, and came to Mishawaka eight years ago from South Bend. He was a member of the Midway gospel taberbnacle. Surviving are the parents; grandparents, Marion Stafford, of South Bend, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Circle, Warsaw, Ind.; three sisters, Lousie, Marie and Wanda, at home, and four brothers, Ford L., Archie, Lorraine and John.
