Mr. John J. Lansford, 74, of Ocean Springs, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in Pascagoula.
Mr. Lansford was born in Sterling, Ill. He was member of the community since 1983. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. He was a US Army veteran of Korea and was a graduate of the University of
Illinois where he was a member of Pi Tau Sigma. He earned his masters degree from the University of Southern California and worked in the Space Industry at Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. He retired from
Ingalls Ship Building in 1997.

Mr. John J. Lansford, 74, of Ocean Springs died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in Pascagoula.
Mr. Lansford was born in Sterling, IL. He was member of the community since 1983. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. He was a US Army veteran of Korea and was a graduate of the University of Illinois where he was a member of Pi Tau Sigma. He earned his masters degree from the University of Southern California. and worked in the Space Industry at Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. He retired from Ingalls Ship Building in 1997.
Mr. Lansford was preceded in death by his parents, John Leroy Lansford and Laura McCue Lansford and a brother James Lansford.
He is survived by his wife Emilie Johnston Lansford of Ocean Springs; two sons, Paul Lansford, Matthew Lansford and his wife Krystle; his beloved grandson Cameron Lansford all of Ocean Springs; and his sister Betty Johnson of Mesa, AR; also Numerous nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 11:30am at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs where friends may visit one hour prior.
Rosary to be recited at 10am. Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
Family prefers memorials to ALS/Lou Gehrig's Foundation 27001 Agoura Road Suite 150 Calabasas Hills, CA 91301-5104.
