Jamestown, NY-Lillian E. CARR 82, died at 4:45 PM Thursday afternoon (Nov. 4, 1982) in her home. She was the wife of Ray D. CARR, whom she married Mrch 23, 1926 in Camden, NJ. They celebrated their 56th wedding anniv. in March.
She was born Jan. 16, 1900, in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of Arthur & Mary VOIGHT BARTH.
Mrs. CARR attended Philadephia schools & had been a piano teacher, having graduated from several music schools. She was a certified piano teacher & had studied in Jamestown under Samuel Thorstenberg at Jamestown Conservatory of Music & Mr. Campbell of the Warren Conservatory of Music.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Calvin R. CARR of Jamestown; 6 granchildren: David B. CARR, Kathleen W. CARR & George W. JUUL, USAF, Woodbridge, VA, & Lt. Keven E. JUUL, UA Army, Aberdeen, MD, & 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; 2 brothers: Charles & Albert BARTH, & 2 sisters: Susan COOK & Mary BARTH.
The funeral will be at 10 AM Monday in Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Willard G. Steele, visitation pastor of 1st United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lotsville Cemetery.
