Gertrude L. Dabney of St. Stephens Church departed this life Monday, Sept. 30, 2002.

She leaves to cherish her blessed memory two sons, John H. Dabney Sr. of Newtown and Robert E. Dabney Sr. of St. Stephens; one daughter, Florine D. Montague of Stafford; one stepdaughter, Geneva Jackson of Wilmington Del.; a devoted grandson, Robert E. Dabney Jr. of St. Stephens; a devoted sister, Malcenia Dabney of Newtown; two daughters-in-law, the Rev. Alma R. Dabney and Zee Dabney; one son-in-law, Tyrone L. Montague Sr.; one stepson-in-law, David Jackson; a brother-in-law, Otha Dabney; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church in St. Stephens Church. A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Timothy Scott Swan I officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
