David A. Hazen moved his residence from Clackamas, Oregon to Heaven July 27, 2006. His life reflected his desire to be with the Lord Jesus and for others to know Him. David was born June 11, 1925 in Vancouver, Wash. to Everett and Opal Hazen. After his 1943 high school graduation in The Dalles, Ore. he served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. David was a graduate of Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Ore., where he met his future wife, Patty Hall. He pastored Cole Community Church in Boise, Idao from 1971 to 1976 and founded Cole Valley Christian School. David leaves his wife Patty, his children Barbara Baker and Doug Hazen of Portland, Ore., Mark Hazen of Chico, Calif., and Chris Young of Boise, Idaho. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services are planned at Cole Community Church in Boise, Idaho at 10 a.m. on Aug.3. Memorial contributions may be made to Cole Valley Christian School.
