Acclaimed and award-winning Spanish author. His passions were the cinema and Egypt, reflected powerfully in his books. Among his works: "El día que murió Marilyn", "No digas que fue un sueño", "El sueño de Alejandría", "Terenci del Nilo", "Chulas y famosas", "Mis inmortales del cine", "El amargo don de la belleza" and "El arpista ciego", his last book. He writed three autobiographic books, under the generic title of "El peso de la paja": "El cine de los sábados", "El beso de Peter Pan" and "Extraño en el paraíso". His real name was Ramón Moix Messeguer, and he died of a lung disease. He was cremated and, according his wishes, portions of his ashes were scattered at Deir-el-Medina (Valley of the Kings, Egypt), Alejandría Bay, and regions of Barcelona, Spain.
