Artiss Ellen Alsept, age: 57 Of Pikeville, Ky., died Wednesday, December 8, 2010, in Highlands Regional Medical Center.
She was born October 31, 1953, in Norwalk, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arnold and JoAnn Williamson Leedy.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Willard, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Jo and one grandchild, James Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Corbett Alsept, one son, James A. (Angie) Hunter of Shelbiana, Ky., four daughters, Sheila L. (Larry) Cool of Weston, WV., Justina D. (Eddie) Adams of David, Ky., Freda E. (Jeremy) Edwards of Mansfield, Ohio, and JoAnne V. (Mike) May of Shelbianna, Ky., one brother, Arnold Leedy Jr. of Sandusky, Ohio, three sisters, Thelma Cutcher-McDivitt of Sheffildlake, Ohio, Roberta Jones of Elyria, Ohio, and Debbie Hutchinson of Circle City, Ky., 16 grandchildren, Jordan, Jesse, Sierra, Lorissa, Jimmy, James, Savannah, Kayla, Brittney, DaKota, Artiss, Leslie, Victoria, Jayden, Michael and Ivy, 3 great-grandchildren, Kayden, Austin and Kaitlynne, and his step-mother, Freda Leedy, close friends, James Floyd and LaDonna Hunter, and numerous others who called her mom and mamaw and who loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Ky., with Keith Collins officiating. Burial will be in Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the funeral home
