Services for Floyd Martin "Buddy" Altman will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Altman, 59, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Dillon County, SC, September 17, 1953, he was the son of Eva Mae Lane Altman and the late Jessie Floyd Altman. He was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church where he was the assistant Sunday School Director for 14 years, he was employed by the Dillon County EMS, and was Dillon's first Paramedic, and he also worked for Taylor's Auto Parts. He was a member and past president of Latta Rescue Squad, and Buddy loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and golf.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Hyatt Altman of Latta; mother, Eva Mae Altman of Dillon; son, Brian (Stephanie) Altman of Dillon; daughter, Jessica (David) Owens of Dillon; grandchildren, Jordan Mew, Jessie Altman, Jacob Altman, Jaelyn Altman, Mariah Owens, Hannah Grace Owens, and Caden Owens; brothers, Charles (Phyllis) Lane, Billy (Rhonda) Altman, and Bobby (Debbie) Altman, all of Dillon; sisters, Marilyn (David) Moore of Tuscaloosa, AL, Gloria "Mickie" Johnson of Lake View, and Kathy (Bob) Reid of Latta.
