He was a 1972 graduate of Marion Franklin High School and was employed by the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing. He was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran. Joe bled scarlet and gray and was a diehard Ohio State Buckeyes football fan. He also loved motorcycles and enjoyed cruising through the Hocking Hills. He was a member of the Grove City Fraternal Order of Eagles #3620.
