Patricia Sue Anderson better known as Patsy to her friends and family passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at her home near Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years four months and six days.

Patsy was born July 14, 1940, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Johnnie Monroe and Annabelle (Childers) Anderson. Patsy grew up in Tulsa attending Wilson Middle School before graduating from Will Rogers High School with the Class of 1958. Following graduation Patsy continued her education at Oklahoma State University pursuing a degree in Psychology. After completing her higher education Patsy returned to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She later began a home printing shop which she operated for several years. In 1997, Patricia and her life partner Penny Clemons moved to their current home on Keystone Lake near Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Patsy was very active in politics. She was the Past President of the State Federation of Democratic Women in the 1980's. Patsy was also the Vice President of The National Federation of Democratic Women and an active part of the organization locally as well as nationally for over 20 years. Patsy loved to write and had recently had a book published Disappearing Doors. Patsy enjoyed painting, embroidering, as well as making quilts. Patsy was most proud of her work on Disappearing Doors and had high hopes of one day turning the book into a movie.

Patsy was preceded in death by her father Johnnie Anderson and mother Annabelle Anderson.

Memorial Services will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Chapman-Black Funeral Home with officiating. The body will be cremated under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
