Sept. 19, 1834 Highland VA., d. Oct. 23, 1868 Middlebury, Elkhart, Indiana. After she died, he married Emily Jane Statzell on Apr. 4, 1872 Clinton, Indiana. She was born May 5, 1853 Clinton, Indiana, d. Nov. 3, 1931 Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They had 7 children.
