Mrs. Ellon F. Phillips, 43-year-old, Route 4, McMinnville, housewife, died of a two-week illness in Donelson Hospital, Nashville, at 11:45 p.m. Thursday. A native of Kentucky and member of the Baptist Church, she was the wife of J.C. Phillips, who survives, and a daughter of Avery and Bessie Polston Tiller, of Russell Springs, Kentucky. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Roy Mitchell Sullivan, Indianapolis; a stepson, Gordon McGee, of this city; three daughters, Carolyn Kelly, Indianapolis, Brenda Montgomery, Plainfield, Indiana, and Aneita Sullivan, Clayton, Indiana; four brothers and two sisters, Dewey Tiller, Valley Station, Kentucky, Russell and James Tiller, both of Columbia, Kentucky, Elvin Tiller, Indianapolis, Nelda Sullivan, Clayton, and Flonnie Melson, Russell Springs; as well as a grandchild and three stepgrandchildren. With the Rev Jack Irwin and John W. High officiating, final rites were held in High's Chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, interment being in Mount View Cemetery. High's Inc in charge of arrangements.

My aunt. Her husband, JC, is buried on the opposite side of the stone. Ellon is buried beside JC's brother, Elmer.
