He was a son of William and Rhoda (Hardin) Bryant. William was a son of the pioneer settlers, John and Elizabeth Bryant. Perkins married late in life, April 20, 1869 to Serena Young. They had four children: John Austin Bryant (1870 - 1947), Belzona (or Bell Zona) (1874 - 1970); George William (July 1875 - September 1875) and Cora A. Bryant (1880 - 1924).

A May 13, 1914 death notice in the Adair County News simply stated:

Old Uncle Perkins, of Sano, died one day last week.
He was a son of William and Rhoda (Hardin) Bryant. William was a son of the pioneer settlers, John and Elizabeth Bryant. Perkins married late in life, April 20, 1869 to Serena Young. Gravesite Details

There is probably not a marker for his grave, but one could assume that he is buried beside his wife as his death certificate indicates he is buried in the Bryant Graveyard (another name for Loy Cemetery) in Sano, Kentucky.
