Harold Floyd McMurray, 84, of Avon, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at Clarian West Medical Center. He was Vice President & Secretary at Freyn Bros Mechanical Contractors for 41 years. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1946. He was a member of Garfield Park United Church of Christ, Hendricks County Antique Tractor Club, Mechanical Contractors Association and farmed part-time in Hendricks County since 1952. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2006 at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel, with calling there 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds, 955 E. Main St., Danville, Indiana 46122 or Mark Fuchs Scholarship Fund co Garfield Park United Church of Christ, 743 E. Pleasant Run Pkwy. S. Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita McMurray. He is survived by his daughters: Carolyn Love (husband Charlie) and Melia Baum (husband Doyle); son, Michael McMurray; sisters: Rosemary Richardson (husband Floyd), Janet Newlin and Linda Fuchs (husband John); special friend, Eva Thompson; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
