PAXTON - Mary Myrtle Bryant, 98, of Paxton died at the Ford County Nursing Home at 9:45 p.m. Thursday (January 12, 1989).

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton, the Rev. Robert Ross officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Loda.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home Monday.

She was born March 15, 1890, at Jamestown, Kentucky, a daughter of Caldwell and Ann Stephens McQueary. She married William Bryant on September 17, 1908, in Kentucky. He died in 1959.

Surviving are one daughter, Elsie Anderson, Paxton; one son, Orris, St. Petersburg, Florida; one sister, Clara Fox, Miami Beach, Florida; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, one brother, four sisters and one grandson.

Mrs. Bryant was a member of the Federated Church of Paxton and a former member of the Rebekah Lodge and Royal Neighbors of America.

Memorials may be made to the church or Ford County Nursing Home.

Looking at the 1900 census in Wolf Creek Precinct, Russell County, Kentucky, the surname was spelled McQuery. Her parents were recorded as Alford C and Martha A McQuery.
