Funeral services for Mrs. E. L. (Lennie) Denman, 64, of Rt. 3, Grapeland (Salmon community), were held Sunday, April 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the Guiceland Memorial Chapel, Salmon, with the Rev. Charles H. Haley officiating. Burial was in the Guiceland Cemetery. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Johnny Falcon, Troy Garrison,
Wilbur Trigg, Sam Garrison, Devoln Garrison, John Montgomery, and Archie Trigg. Mrs. Denman, the former Miss Lennie Estelle Trigg, was born at Salmon on June 26, 1902, and was a daughter of the late William Trigg and Mrs. Sarah McKinney Trigg. She was a member of the first Baptist Church, Grapeland, and Grapeland Order of the Eastern Star, Chapte No. 120; also she was a past matron of the Jacksonville OES Chapter. Prior to retiring in 1955, she was employed as an office clerk, for Missouri Pacific Railroad, and before moving back to Salmon, she resided in both Freeport and Jacksonville. She died Friday, March 31, at 9:30 a.m. in her home following a sudden illness. Survivors: husband, Ernest Leo Denman of Salmon; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Borden of Sugarland; two brothers, Charlie Trigg of Elkhart, and Lee Trigg of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Garrison of Salmon; two grandchildren;
Gordon Borden Jr. of Huntsville, and Miss Dorothy Jewel Borden of Houston; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Hassell & Foster.
