Services For Mrs. Garrison
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Garrison, age 81, of the Salmon community, Route 2, Elkhart, were held Sunday, February 3, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hassell & Foster Chapel with James Mosley and the Rev. Kennith Mobley officiating. Burial was in the Guiceland Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Lifetime resident of Salmon, Mrs. Garrison was born January 19, 1893 to the late William Trigg and Mrs. Sarah McKinney Trigg, and she died Friday, February 1, 1974 at 3:27 a.m. in a Dallas hospital following a brief illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Grapeland, and the widow of Oscar G. Garrison, who preceded her in death on October 12, 1950. Survivors; six sons, Elbert Garrison and Eddie Garrison, both of Grapeland, H. L. Garrison of Palestine, Troy Garrison of Odessa, Devoin Garrison of Salmon; a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Wanda) Woody of Marble Falls, Texas; a brother, Charlie Trigg of Elkhart; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
