Son of Thomas abt 1528-1611, aged over 83 years, and Joane buried 11 Mar 1606/7.
Brother of Thomas Chandler 1528-1911, memorial #169915297.
John was born about 1525, died between 1580 and 1589.
Husband of Joane married about 1550.
Father of Tobias, Anne, Susanna (Mrs Joseph Taylor), Grace, Anna and Margaret.
John and wife Joan sold a dwelling and land in Bishop's Stortford to John Denison of Thorley in 1563.
John's grand daughter, Margaret Chandler, daughter of Tobias, would marry William Denison of the same Denison family, but in the colonies.

From English Original of New England Families, Vol II pg 358:
He was a considerable legatee in his father's will of 1554, and was also named as an executor. But little mention of him, however, has been found. In 1563 John Denyzon was querent (plaintiff) v. John Chandler and his wife, Joane, deforciants (defendant), for a messuage (dwelling with lands) and lands in Stortford. (Feet of Fines, Herts, Easter Term, 5 Elizabeth, in the Public Record Office, London. At a court and view of frankpledge of the manor of Stortford, held 17 Mar 1581/2, John Chandler appears as one of the chief pledges. (Court Rolls of Ecclesiastical Commissioners, 206/2. in the Public Record office, London.) As he left no will, and as the parish registers of Bishops-Stortford do not give the names of the parents of the children baptized before 1580, the names of his children are not known with certainty, but are probably as here given:
Children, recorded at Bishops-Stortford:
i. Tobias, b abt 1551, buried as "Tobias Chandler, old man" 24 Oct 1629, married 21 Sept 1574 Johane Momford who was buried 29 June 1618
ii. Anne, b abt 1553, mentioned in the will of her grandfather, Thomas Chandler #2
iii. Susanna, b abt 1556, m 4 Oct 1579 Joseph Taylor
iv. Grace b abt 1560, m 3 Oct 1585 William RogersJohn Chandler and wife Joan (Joane) were married about 1550.

Their children born in Bishop's Stortford.

Tobias Chandler (Chaunder) born about 1551.

Anna (Anne) Chandler born about 1553.

Susanna (Susanne) Chandler born about 1556.

Grace Chandler born about 1560.

The 1998 article by Douglas Richardson in The American Genealogist, states that this Thomas Chandler (1528-1611) actually married Joan Page (1530-1607) and that they had a son Tobias (1551-1629) who was the father of Margaret Chandler who married William Denison.

I have a digitized copy of the entire article if that would help. Perhaps you have already read it. Unless I have read it wrong, you would need to change your memorial about the wife of this Thomas Chandler and some of his (their) children.

Margaret (Chandler) Denison is my wife's ancestor.

I appreciate all the wonderful work you have done in FindAGrave.
