LEESBURG — John Phillip Moore Sr., 70, died Saturday, May 7, 2011.
Mr. Moore was born in Leesburg and lived in the city all his life. He was a retired computer programmer for Rotech Medical, Orlando; was a part of many church activities, including deacon, the Men's Ministry, Christian Care Center and the Jail Ministry; was a member of the Gideons International; was an avid fisherman; and enjoyed his family and friends.
Survivors include wife, Gail, Leesburg; sons John P., Leesburg, and Jeff, Leesburg; sister, Suzanne M. Rogers, Leesburg; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Leesburg. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at First Baptist Church, Leesburg.

from his home peacefully surrounded by his loving
family, Saturday, May 7th.
He was born in Leesburg, FL and a lifelong resident of
Leesburg, FL and graduated from Leesburg High School
and received his Bachelors Degree from Auburn
University. He retired from Rotech Medical, Orlando,
FL as a Computer Programmer. He was active in many
church activities including a Deacon, The Men's
Ministry, Christian Care Center, and The Jail Ministry.
He was a member of the Gideon's. He was an avid
fisherman and enjoyed his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gail Moore, of
Leesburg, FL; 2 sons, John P. Moore, Jr., of Leesburg,
FL; Jeff (Sandi) Moore, of Leesburg, FL; sister,
Suzanne M. Rogers, of Leesburg, FL; and 4
grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Justin, Jacob. He was
predeceased by his parents Claude and Marie Moore
and Brother Claude Moore.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 10th from 6:00
to 8:00 pm at Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory,
Leesburg. Services will be on Wednesday, May 11 at
1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Leesburg. Friends
