Lonnie Lee Murray died on October 9, 2004. He was 85 years old.

Lonnie was born in Austin, Texas on December 23, 1918, to Frank Washington Murray and Sarah Ellen Cash Murray.

He married Laura Lee Jolly on June 10, 1940. They raised two daughters: Martha Ellen Murray and Charlotte Frances Murray.

He had five grandchildren: Lisa Osborne, Jeff Bird, Kaye Lynn Lewis, Christopher Lewis and David Freudenberg and six great-grandchildren: Jeremy Bird, Ryan Bird, Tyler Bird, Maddison Osborne, Chris Freudenberg and Alyssa Freudenberg.

Lonnie owned Murray's Garage for many years until joining the State Capitol Police, which he retired from in 1983.

He was a lifelong "Hyde Parker" and had a wealth of knowledge about life and people growing up in "the Park".

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a true friend, a hard worker and an honest man. He will be missed.
