Businessman. Along with Francis Kuhn, he purchased the old Jaeger Brewery of St. Louis in 1870. They operated the brewery until about 1884, when the Anthony and Kuhn Brewing Company was formed. At the time it was sold to the St. Louis Brewing Association, the annual output was about 50,000 barrels. It was operated by the syndicate until 1899 and then closed down. Henry Anthony also bought a malt-house with William Linze in 1865, but disposed of his interest to Rudolph Schmidt later that same year. The business was later incorporated as the Rudolph Schmidt Malting Company.
