Mary was born October 14, 1926 in Checotah to Robert Stout and Virginia Mae (McIntosh) Stout. She attended schools in Checotah and also high school in Oxnard, California. Mary lived the majority of her life in Checotah, Oklahoma and owned her own business which was an answering service.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Virginia Stout. Mary is survived by her son, Larry Armstrong and his wife, Patricia of Broken Arrow; one grandchild: Laura Tyler and three great grandchildren.
