Chester L. "Chet" Bloomfield, was born in Tulsa on September 22, 1921, passed away April 13, 2011. He graduated from Central High School in 1939. Chet joined the Army in 1942 and received his commission in 1943, at which time he married. He landed at Normandy Beach in June, 1944 and participated in all 5 major battles, including Battle of the Bulge. Following service he attended University of Tulsa and then founded Bloomfield Tile. [...] He was preceded in death by his son Bob Bloomfield, brothers, Clyde and Ralph Bloomfield and parents Lee and Bertie Bloomfield. He was a member of Tulsa Men's Club, Lion's Club and Boston Ave. Methodist Church. (This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 4/15/2011. Names of living family have been removed.)
