George William Bell, 68 of Hulbert, OK died in Tulsa on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. He was born June 25, 1943 in Tulsa to Herman William Bell and Opal Irene (Vanarsdel) Bell. On November 2, 1962 George married Joyce Horn in Jenks, OK and to this union was born one child, a son, Gary. George worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and retired after a 35 year career with the City of Tulsa. He loved the outdoors and never met a stranger. He enjoyed 9 years as a Camp Host in the Cherokee Area of Sequoyah State Park and left that position in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and was known at Ft Gibson Lake as "Boss Hogg". He was a seasoned mechanic and could repair anything that was fuel operated. George loved everyone and everyone loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene Bell and Joe Ed Bell; and a sister, Grace Marie Bell. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Joyce Bell of the home in Hulbert; son, Gary Bell and his wife, Roberta of Coweta, OK; brother Loyd A. Bell and his wife, Debbie of Jenks, OK; grandchildren, Leslie A. Lower and her husband, Tim, Katherine McNabb, Matt Martin, and James McNabb all of Broken Arrow, OK; great grandson, Elijah Martin as well as a host of friends.

Visitation will be 12-6pm Friday, January 13, 2012 at Add'Vantage Funeral Service, 9761 E 31st Street, Tulsa. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, Jenks, OK. Pastor Ron Spradlin will officiate. Those serving as Pallbearers will be Tim Lower, Matt Martin, James McNabb, Colton Dobbs, Mark Bell II, Marc Clymer and Honorary Pallbearer will be Elijah Martin. Arrangements are under the direction of Gary Kelley's Add'Vantage Funeral Service, 9761 E 31st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
