Wilburt "Leon" Ballew, 72, of Red Oak died Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, in Wilburton.
He was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Okmulgee to Wilburt and Nina Mae (Rinehart) Ballew. He was an automobile mechanic.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Leon is survived by his wife, Novella Ballew of the home; a son, Anthony and wife Roxane Ballew of Wister; two daughters, Shellie and husband Kory Rowe of Red Oak and Terrie and husband Tim Ober of Red Oak; two brothers; seven grandchildren, Timothy Ober Jr., Thomas Ober, Tammy Jo Ober, Kory Rowe Jr., Dylan Rowe, Heather Ballew and Caston Ballew; and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister with Bro. Clyde Steelman officiating.
Cremation services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
