Pearl Bounds, age 104, of Batesville, Arkansas died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in a local nursing home. Born on February 28, 1905 in Rector, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Jim Vowel and Mary Brewer Vowel.
She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Donald Bufford Bounds of California; one daughter, Lucille Sandy of Sandtown; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; thirty-two great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Bounds; one son, Gerald Bounds and one daughter, Betty LaCroix.
Services are Friday, June 5, 10:00 a.m., at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Charles Smith and Kevin Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Sandy, Danny Sandy, Kenny Sandy, Jimmy LaCroix, Allen LaCroix and Dave LaCroix.
Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.
