Allen Ballard Arant

Mr H W Arant received a cablegram November 5th that his son Allen Ballard Arant Co C 132 M G Bn., 36 Division was killed in Action October 24, 1918.

Private Arant left Hollis October 4, 1917 and was sent to Camp Travis for military training. He was in training there about four weeks, then moved to Camp training in Long Island until the middle of July.

There had been no letter from his son for several weeks therefore he was very anxious to receive word. The cablegram was a terrable shock to the family, kinfolks and friends. We realize a noble life has been sacrifaced for us.

A host of friends unite in sympathy for the heart broken father, brothers and sister. We have the sweet evidence that his
spirit is in Heaven with dear, sweet angel mother, basking in the sunshine of God's love.

Cheer up bereaved ones, look in Heaven where wars and death are no more.
