Uriah was the oldest of nine children born to Mary Ann Miler and Frederick Doll. He served in the 51st Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry.
Married Almira E. Smith on 30 July 1867 in Newfield, New York

Civil War Veteran

Served in Company B, 51st Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry. Uriah began military service on September 26, 1864 at Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, and was discharged on June 2, 1865 at Alexandria, Virginia. He participated in the Siege of Petersburg, which is when he contracted rheumatism and conjunctivitis, for which he received a military pension.

He was a farmer.
