On October 13, 2007, JOSEPH "JOEY" ACKERMANN, age 16, died at Johns Hopkins University Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, after a four month struggle recovering from an accident that resulted in severe burns. He was riding on a lawnmower when it caught fire. He was born September 20, 1991, in Jacksonville, Florida. Part of a military family, Joey lived in several states and most recently resided in Millersville, Maryland. Joey was a varsity wrestler for Old Mill High School and enjoyed wrestling, baseball, guitar playing, comedy, friends and family. Joey is survived by his parents, Tyson and Lisa Ackermann, and his little sister Brittany Nicole Ackermann.
