One of Heather's last pictures is posted here... Her with her older brother Anthony, in front of a waterfall... little did they know how treasured this picture would be.. More than just a shot on vacation.. but a glimpse of the last moments of my child.. soon to be gone...

Heather arrived into our lives deeply wanted. She was Her Mama's deepest desire.. the longing of a little girl. With the whispers of "it's a girl" by the nurse.. Much tears & shouts of joy welcomed my little princess into this world.
It is such a special bond... between a mother and her daughter.
She was a truly good baby, sleeping through the night by 6 weeks. She was also her Daddy's little girl. We knew even then that would be their song... "Butterfly kisses" A song that they would dance to on her wedding day. (Yes we thought that much about her fulture) We almost lost her at the age of 1 yr old. She was taking her daily nap, but the Lord brought me to check on her. She had the mini blinds cord wrapped around her neck. She was unable to cry as it already had dug into her skin. By the grace of God we had 10 more precious years with Heather.
Words cannot capture my princess.. She was a girl that was true, she could be a friend to anyone. She was always wanting to open our home to any and everyone.(Much to my dismay) She loved her church, CCM. She would make every effort to get there. It was her second home. Even when everyone would give her the heat about where her parents where, she always wanted to go. Always.
She was tough (had to be in a house full of boys) yet tender. She was loud, yet possessed the inner beauty that I can't begin to explain. Her smile and laugh are forever etched in my heart. How I long to hear that laugh again.
She is amazing in every way. She loves Jesus, her family, her friends and her church. She wears a smile that could light up any room. She was a happy girl full of innocense and joy.
You never think you will lose a child, much less while they are on vacation. I didn't even worry about her. She was responsible. Still I wondered how I could really be on this path.
If it wasn't for God's wonderful grace and mercy, He sent His Son so we could live.. I would be forever lost.
I hold to His promises, while He holds me in His hands... Thank You Jesus! Please visit this website.
Heather drowned in a shallow pool of water. We believe she was unconcious when she entered the water, as she hit her head when she slipped. Her precious hands and feet showed no signs of struggle or fear. I believe in the true character of Heather, is that she saw the Lord and all His splendor and just left. She was pulled from the waters in about 5-10 minutes. They tried for 4 hours to revive her... but she was gone.

We all miss you Heather!!! You have left a hole in our hearts... but one day.. we will all be together again!!
Love You
