She moved there from Fort Pierce, St. Lucie, FL. She taught at Fort Pierce Elementary School. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Hornbeak, in 1983. Survivors include a sister, Jeanne Getchell Spindler of Satellite Beach, Brevard, FL; and a sister-in-law, Dozier Hornbeak VandenBosche of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, FL. A service will be 18Jul at Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
