Birdy was just a few months old when he was given to me by a friend who raised Parakeets.
He was a goofy little thing that loved pecking at his reflection in the mirror. He also had a toy Parakeet in his cage that would chirp whenever you touched it. Birdy would run back & forth in the cage & knock the toy bird around because he liked hearing it chirp.
Birdy was also friends with my iguana, Iggsy. Iggsy would climb on top of Birdy's cage & they would just look at each other. One time Iggsy climbed into Birdy's cage when I wasn't looking, but they got along just fine. They were just hanging out.
I woke up one morning & found Birdy dead at the bottom of his cage. I think he passed away from old age. His friend Iggsy joined him a couple years later.
