Corporal Knighton was a WW2 POW. He was captured during the Battle of the Buldge & held in a German prison camp.

As a teen, he worked in a funeral home & after his service in the Army ended, he worked construction.

Corp. Knighton died from an infection after having his leg amputated due to a lack of care while he was in the V.A. Hospital in DC.

His hobbies included watching "Judge Judy", working on his computer, going for outdoor rides in his wheelchair, and listening to Rush Limbaugh's radio program.

He was the father of one daughter, and grandfather of one granddaughter
