Laura was the daughter of Justus J. Gillette and the former Mary F. Haskell, she married Jay Smith White, they had 4 children 3 daughters and 1 son. After Jay died of an early age, she re-married to Edwin S. Champion. Upon her death it was discovered that her 1st husband had been buried between two lots in the Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, Tioga Co., NY leaving NO room for her to be buried with him, she was therefore buried on her 2nd husband lot in the Cortland Rural Cemetery. Information was provided by her Grandson Norman Churchill of Ohio.
