Mrs. Mary E. Gillett, 80, of 34 South St., widow of Fred D. Gillett, died Friday in the Howd Nursing Home.
She had resided here a year and a half. She previously lived in Cortland 25 years and in Summerhill. She was the daughter of the late Perry and Alice VanBenschoten. (Webster)
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alice Mabie of Moravia, a grandson, David of Moravia, and an aunt, Mrs. Frank Webster of Summerhill.
Services were at Beard Funeral Home in Cortland at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Charles E. Corey, pastor of the Memorial Baptist Church in Cortland, officiated. Burial was in West Homer Cemetery.
