CORTLAND – Mrs. Lulu B. Gillett, 69, of RD 4 died Wednesday in Cortland Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.
She was the daughter of Emma Stanford Canniff and John Canniff and her birthplace was Kirkwood. She had resided in the Summerhill section 40 years.
She was the widow of Charles Gillett. She was a member of the East Summerhill Baptist Church and the Summerhill Home Bureau.
Surviving are a son, Emmett of RD 4, a brother, Floyd Canniff of Upper Darby, Pa., and several cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the East Summerhill Baptist Church. The Rev. Edgar Fountain will officiate.
Burial will be in West Homer Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Earle W. Wright Funeral Home.
