DIED - MILES - At her home in the town of Homer, March 4, 1877, Mrs. Abilena, wife of Philo Miles, deceased, age 79 years.
She was born in Foster, Rhode Island, and at an early age removed to Madison county in this State. Mrs. Miles had been a resident of this town for nearly fifty years, respected and beloved as an affectionate wife and a tender, loving mother, and a kind neighbor. The mother of fourteen children, eight still living, and the Grandmother of twenty-two grandchildren. She was buried in Dry Brook cemetery, to await the resurrection morn and the coming of the Lord. May God's blessing be upon the bereaved friends and sympathizing neighbors.
