Ethel E. (Erb) Duke Bost, 87, of Blairsville, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 in St. Andrew's Village, Indiana.
The daughter of Charles Roy and Anna J. Ross Erb, she was born Nov. 6, 1917, in Blairsvllle.

Mrs. Bost was a member of Strangford United Methodist Church and the Blairsville Grange.

She graduated from Blairsville High School Class of 1937, and was a licensed practical nurse for Torrance State Hospital for 16 years, retiring in 1974.

Her interests were gardening, crafting and helping others.

Survivors include a son, Ernest Duke and his wife, Peggy, of Greensburg; four daughters, Mrs. John (Janet) Reid of Tunnelton; Mrs. Frank (Carole) Staats of Blairsville; Mrs. Richard (Faye Ann) Drawl of State College; and Mrs. Steve (Joan) Stano of Tunnelton;

Also three stepchildren, Nellie Risinger and her husband, Tom, Blairsville; John Bost and his wife, Victoria, Ashtabula, Ohio and George W. Bost and his wife, Diane, Blairsville; 30 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren;

Also a brother, Richard Erb and his wife, Gene, of Blairsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph E. Duke, Oct. 13, 1967; her second husband, George W. Bost, Oct. 6, 1997; five brothers, Robert, Earl, Leonard, Donald and Edward; and two sisters, Louise Harkins and Helen Miller.

Services were held Wednesday at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, with Rev. Jason L. McQueen officiating.

Interment followed in Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg.
