Emily Marie Bennett Libengood, 84, of Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the Keeper of the Flame, Blairsville.
A daughter of Raleigh W. and Verna M. Sullinger Bennett, she was born February 10, 1922, in Black Lick.
Mrs. Libengood lived her entire life in the Black Lick area. She graduated from Blairsville High School in 1940 and was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Paul C Libengood; two sons, Paul L. Libengood and wife, Sandra, of Greensburg and Ronald S. Libengood and wife, Sandra, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two brothers, Thomas Bennett of Hot Springs, Ark., and Richard Bennett and wife, Bernadene, of Punxsutawney; three sisters, Margaret Heckman of Warren, Ohio; Roberta Lichtenfels and husband, Mervin, of Indiana, and Verna Empfield, of Johnstown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Raleigh Bennett and Robert Glenn Bennett.
A funeral service was held Tuesday in the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, with Rev. Dean E. Byrom officiating.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana.
