Henrietta's parents were born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She married Michael Bashore in 1835. They moved to Ohio sometime before 1842, living in Greene and Darke counties before moving in 1859 to Miami County. Michael and Henrietta were the parents of six children. She died of pulmonary consumption at Pleasant Hill at the age of 77. She shares the same tombstone with her husband.
