BASHORE, MRS. NANCY JANE - After being ill with pneumonia for slightly over a week, Mrs. Nancy Jane Bashore quietly passed away at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at her home 2 1/2 miles west of Troy, at the age of 74 years ___ months and seven days. She was born near Medway in Clark county, her maiden name being Nancy Jane Funk. She was reared at West Charleston. She was united in marriage to B. F. Bashore December 29, 1859. To this union were born 10 children, five sons and five daughters. Three sons have preceded her in death. The living children are Mrs. Elias Ulmer, Wilmer Bashore, Mrs. Zorah Shawler, Mrs. Otto Rank, John C. Bashore, Miss Amy I. Bashore and Mrs. Oliver Abshire, who with the father are left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife, a kind mother and a good neighbor. Besides the aged husband and seven children there are left 16 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. The funeral which was very largely attended was held Sunday. There were brief services at the house at 1 p.m. The body was then taken to the Church of the Brethren at Pleasant Hill where the funeral was conducted by Rev. O. S. Yount. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Card of Thanks - The family of Mrs. Bashore desires to thank all for the kindness and sympathy manifested during their bereavement.
