Covington, O., March 12--Mary E. Bashore, widow of Jacob Bashore, 4 College street, died Tuesday evening at seven o'clock at the home of her son, Mr. J. A. Bashore, south of Troy. She had been in failing health for the past several months. Last Thursday she suffered a stroke of paralysis and on Saturday a second stroke from which she never rallied. She was 84 years of age. Mrs. Bashore had resided with her son since the first of the year. Mrs. Bashore was well known in this vicinity, having moved to Covington several years ago from near Pleasant Hill where she and her husband resided on a farm. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Survivors include one son, Mrs. J. A. Bashore; four daughters, Mrs. Annabelle Hall of West Milton, Mrs. Nettie Furnas of near Covington, Mrs. Sue Ehlers of Laura, and Mrs. Minnie Spitler of Dayton. West Milton, O., March 20--Funeral services were held last week for Mrs. Mary Bashore, 84, mother of Mrs. Annabel Hall, of N. St., who died at the home of her son, Adam Bashore, in Troy, with whom she has been residing for the past few months. Her death was attributed to paralysis, with which she had been stricken some time earlier. The remains were removed to her former home in Covington and services were held there conducted by the Reverend C. F. McKee, former pastor of the Covington Church of the Brethren. She is survived by a son, Adam Bashore, of Troy, four daughters, Mrs. Annabel Hall, of this place, Mrs. W. G. Ehler, of Laura, Mrs. Nettie Furnas, of Covington, and Mrs. Minnie Spitler, of Dayton.
