Covington, O., March 12--Mary E. Bashore, widow of Jacob Bashore, 4 College street, died Tuesday evening at seven o'clock at the home of her son, Mr. J. A. Bashore, south of Troy. She had been in failing health for the past several months. Last Thursday she suffered a stroke of paralysis and on Saturday a second stroke from which she never rallied. She was 84 years of age. Mrs. Bashore had resided with her son since the first of the year. Mrs. Bashore was well known in this vicinity, having moved to Covington several years ago from near Pleasant Hill where she and her husband resided on a farm. She was a faithful member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Survivors include one son, Mrs. J. A. Bashore; four daughters, Mrs. Annabelle Hall of West Milton, Mrs. Nettie Furnas of near Covington, Mrs. Sue Ehlers of Laura, and Mrs. Minnie Spitler of Dayton.
