He was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Cortland, the son of James and Jennie Hollenbeck, and had been a life-long resident of the area. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Homer and, prior to his retirement in 1977, had been employed by Newton Line Co. nearly 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes B. Hollenbeck of Little York; two daughters, Joanne Brazo of Newfield, and Barbara Chubb of Springfield, Va.; one sister, Marjorie Tilton of Ithaca; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Donald L. Barber Funeral Home in Homer, with the Rev. Harold A. Durando, of Calvary Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Atwater Cemetery, Homer.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today, and memorial contributions may be made to Cortland Memorial Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
