Flight Officer Jack Adoue Warren, 24, was killed Feb. 7 on a Pacific Island in an airplane crash, according to a telegraph by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Warren of 253 Chestnut Street. Flight officer Warren was bombadier on a B-24 Liberator. According to a letter which he wrote Feb. 6, he had eight missions yet to go before taking rest leave in Australia. he enlisted in 1942 and went overseas eight months ago.
The young bombadier was graduated from Stivers high school and attended Ohio State University. Besides his parents, he is survived by three brothers: Capt. Joseph P., France; Lt. James W., a pilot now stationed in Florida, and Jerry , a student at Stivers high school.
The Journal Herald - Feb. 23, 1945

Note - Jacques/Jack is listed as Jacques Adoue, illegitimate, and born Feb. 6, 1921 in Cairo, Egypt, on his father's (James Henry Adoue) 1922 passport. Records also show that James married Penelope Mary Warren in 1952. However, records also show Jacques at the age of 13 traveling on the same ship with a guardian, Penelope Warren, in 1934 and living at the same address. Penelope had been in France during and after WW1 as a part of the Red Cross.

His WW2 registration form shows his name as Jack Adoue Warren - born Feb. 6, 1921, in New York City. Newspaper articles also show his name as Jack Adoue Warren. However, his head stone shows his name as Jacques Adoue.
