William Earl 'Will' Merchant, age 39, of Vancleave, passed away May 31st in Pascagoula.
Will was born in Panama City, FL and moved to England with his mother, stepfather, and siblings at the age of 8. He was a star soccer player and graduated from Cambridge Academy at age 16. He moved to Vancleave at the age of 17 where he lived the rest of his life until being called home to heaven at age 39.
Will had a very strong passion for the outdoors. He loved fishing and boating, this love being the reason he chose Landscaping as his career.
Will cherished his family, close friends, and particularly his son, joshua. His devotion to his family meant everything to him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Rachel Merchant, his father Steven Dracos, his grandmother Myrtice Spillers, his aunt Shirley Powell, and his uncle Edward Bynum.

Will is survived by his son Joshua T. Clark of Gautier, his mother Cynthia Woodrow of Vancleave, his sister Jennifer Kirkwood of Vancleave, his brother David Kirkwood of Vancleave,his grandfather Arlen Lokey, his aunts Alicia and Laura Lokey all of Corpus Christ, TX, grandfather George Dracos, his aunt Vickie Dracos, both of Panama City, FL, his aunt Robbie Breed of Vancleave, his partner and soulmate Joann Merchant of Gulfport, his aunt Stella Bynum of Vancleave, his cousins Stuart & Stephanie Bynum of Vancleave, his stepfather John Kirkwood of Vancleave, and stepfather Bobby Woodrow of Edwardsville, AL.
Will is also survived by a host of several friends. He particularly held two best friends close to his heart. The friends and 'brothers' of over twenty years are Shane Moe of Vancleave, and Sean Tacker of Jacksonville, FL.

Will's Memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held Sunday June 9, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 p.m at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church located at 13802 Mt. Pleasant Rd in Vancleave, MS.
Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00-6:00 p.m and the official service will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m, being officiated by Rev. Mary Stewart.
In leiu of flowers, the family will be very graciously accepting donations in Will's honor to assist his family with his medical expenses.
