Virginia Ann Havens

Mrs. Virginia Ann (McGary) Havens born August 13, 1939 in Vincennes, IN passed on into her heavenly father's arms and added one more beautiful voice to heaven's choir of angels with her passing on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Known to most as "Aunt Jenny", she was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Delta Mae McGary, her brother, William (Bill) McGary, and her daughter, Rachel Denise Havens who have welcomed her with open arms.

Survived in death by her loving family, she will be missed by her husband, Dan Ellis Havens of Vancleave, MS, her sisters, Helen (McGary) Wilson of Caledonia, MS and Mary (McGary) Jernigan of Birmingham, AL as well as her children, Chuck, Danny, Christi, Jeff and Laura. Additionally, Jenny is survived by her grandchildren, Phillip, Samantha, Benjamin, Henry, Molly Kate, Jack, and Eli. Carrying forward hearts filled with love and admiration, many will always remember the beautiful voice, the talents of a great southern cook, the legacy of a life lived to honor and glorify her heavenly father, and an example of kindness, generosity, and Christianity shown towards others that can never be matched.

Arrangements for Jenny's memorial service include visitation and fellowship with the family in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church Vancleave located on Highway 57 in Vancleave, Mississippi from 5 to 6 PM on Monday, July 30, 2012 with services immediately following beginning at 6 PM.

Jenny and the family have requested that there be no flowers gifted at this time, but instead her wishes are that the life and memories she left behind be honored by passing on donations to her brother and sister in Christ, Jerry and Mary Jane Ball as they carry on their journey towards recovery and the life and purpose that God holds for their future. Donations may be made to Jerry's benefit savings account at any Hancock Bank branch.
